Help-A-Hawk
Our El Dorado Golden Hawks Marching Band & Colorguard is a top-ranking performing group in the Southern California region. This year alone, our members will compete and perform in over 40 events that include field show tournaments, parades, festivals, exhibitions and seasonal concerts.

The El Dorado Band Boosters is the non-profit 501(C)(3) booster parent organization that manages the fundraising efforts for the Band and Colorguard. The Band Boosters help raise funds that are necessary to provide instructors, transportation, instruments, equipment, uniforms, trailers, and all the other things that are needed to run a successful and competitive musical performing arts program. The Boosters are completely reliant up each family’s Fair Share Contribution and upon every student’s full participation in our fundraising events during the year. In addition, we greatly need and appreciate the support of our community!

We know that raising the Fair Share Contributions required for the program can be burdensome to our families, so we have created the Help-A-Hawk program so that we can ask our friends and family to help us meet our Fair Share Contribution goals. This program is designed to give friends and family, both local and out of the area, the opportunity to help specific students raise their Fair Share, to anonymously help students who have financial need, or to donate to the general fund of the program. All donations to our program are tax deductible.

Students may download the attached Help-A-Hawk Sponsorship Program Letter and Sponsorship Form and forward them with personal requests for help in meeting their Fair Share Contribution goals. Help-A-Hawk sponsorship donations can be submitted to the El Dorado Band Boosters via mail by remitting the Sponsorship Form along with payment, or via Pay Pal using the “Donate” button.

Ralph’s Rewards
All Ralph’s shoppers can earn money toward their student’s account every time they shop! Simply sign up for your reward card at www.Ralphs.com, and swipe your card with every purchase. At the end of each quarter, send in your earnings statement from your on-line account to the Treasurer (treas@eldoradoband.com) and your earnings will be credited to your student’s fair share expenses or the general fund. You can also ask friends and family to link their cards to El Dorado Band & Color Guard and send in their earning statements as well! Look for quarterly announcements in the Land of Band for earnings statement requests. (Quarters end at February 28, May 31 and August 31 and November 30.)

You can get your Community Rewards card at the store and then link your card to El Dorado Band & Colorguard as follows:

  2. Click on ‘Create an Account’
  3. Follow the 5 easy steps to create an online account
  4. You will be instructed to go to your email inbox to confirm your account
  5. After you confirm your online account by clicking on the link in your email, return to www.ralphs.com and click on ‘my account’ (you may have to sign in again first).
  6. View all your information and edit as necessary
  7. Link your card to your organization by clicking on:

NOTE: Each September 1st, you must re-link El Dorado Band & Colorguard to your card using your on-line account, as the rewards program resets all accounts at the beginning of their fiscal year.

What You Earn:

Ralphs will pay each organization on a quarterly basis based on the following monthly qualifying purchases per household:

Up to $200 of eligible purchases – 1%
Between $200.01 and $350 per month of eligible purchases – 2% over $200
Between $350.01 and $500 per month of eligible purchases – 3% over $350
Over $500 per month of eligible purchases – 4% over $500

SCRIP

The El Dorado Band Boosters are pleased to offer a great fundraising program to help students raise funds for their individual fair-share.  Profits from this program will first be used for any unpaid Marching Season Fair Share Donations for Band and Color Guard.  Funds can then be used for fair-share for Winter Guard, Winter Drumline, Jazz Band, the General Fund.  Seniors who have paid all of their Fair Share Donations can use their donations for another student’s fair-share or for the general fund.  

About ShopWithScrip 

ShopWithScrip is a program that allows band supporters to purchase gift cards from hundreds of retailers and restaurants, including Amazon, Arco, Albertsons, Macy’s and Starbucks.  Supporters get to spend 100% of the amount they paid for the gift card.  The retailer pays the band a percentage of each gift card sold.  The percentage varies, but ranges from 1% to 25%.  Family and friends can help out by either ordering gift cards from you, or they may set up their own accounts to order directly, being sure to notify the Scrip Coordinator that they are a supporter of your student.  

How to Purchase 

It is easy to sign up and all it takes is a little advance planning to order cards.

To get started, email the Scrip Coordinator at scrip@eldoradoband.com to receive the band’s enrollment code.  Please include your El Dorado Band connection – ie your child/grandchild/next door neighbor is a Eldo Flute musician or Eldo Color Guard member – and the best number to reach you at if we have any questions.

*Then go to shop.shopwithscrip.com.  Click on “REGISTER”, then “Join a Scrip Program”.  

*Enter the band’s enrollment code

*Register and create your profile

*Set up your payment method of checking account or credit card. A 2.6% fee will be charged to credit card orders.

*Shop the large selection of cards, order and pay on-line with your preferred form of payment.

* E-cards (ScripNow) will be charged $0.15 per order and will be sent to your dashboard within a couple of minutes!

*To make earning even easier please download the ShopWithScrip RaiseRight App

* Please note there is a service charge of $3 per order for plastic/physical cards (to defray shipping costs) and $1 per order of eCards – this amount is deducted before your earnings post to your fair share account.

Your student’s account will be credited with your Scrip profits on a quarterly basis.  You can easily check your Shop with Scrip account at any time to see how much profit you have earned.
