Our El Dorado Golden Hawks Marching Band & Colorguard is a top-ranking performing group in the Southern California region. This year alone, our members will compete and perform in over 40 events that include field show tournaments, parades, festivals, exhibitions and seasonal concerts.

The El Dorado Band Boosters is the non-profit 501(C)(3) booster parent organization that manages the fundraising efforts for the Band and Colorguard. The Band Boosters help raise funds that are necessary to provide instructors, transportation, instruments, equipment, uniforms, trailers, and all the other things that are needed to run a successful and competitive musical performing arts program. The Boosters are completely reliant up each family’s Fair Share Contribution and upon every student’s full participation in our fundraising events during the year. In addition, we greatly need and appreciate the support of our community!

We know that raising the Fair Share Contributions required for the program can be burdensome to our families, so we have created the Help-A-Hawk program so that we can ask our friends and family to help us meet our Fair Share Contribution goals. This program is designed to give friends and family, both local and out of the area, the opportunity to help specific students raise their Fair Share, to anonymously help students who have financial need, or to donate to the general fund of the program. All donations to our program are tax deductible.

Students may download the attached Help-A-Hawk Sponsorship Program Letter and Sponsorship Form and forward them with personal requests for help in meeting their Fair Share Contribution goals. Help-A-Hawk sponsorship donations can be submitted to the El Dorado Band Boosters via mail by remitting the Sponsorship Form along with payment, or via Pay Pal using the “Donate” button.

Ralph’s Rewards
All Ralph’s shoppers can earn money toward their student’s account every time they shop! Simply sign up for your reward card at, and swipe your card with every purchase. At the end of each quarter, send in your earnings statement from your on-line account to the Treasurer ( and your earnings will be credited to your student’s account. You can also ask friends and family to link their cards to El Dorado Band & Color Guard and send in their earning statements as well! Look for quarterly announcements in the Land of Band for earnings statement requests. (Quarters end at February 28, May 31 and August 31 and November 30.)

You can get your Community Rewards card at the store and then link your card to El Dorado Band & Colorguard as follows:

  4. You will be instructed to go to your email inbox to confirm your account

NOTE: Each September 1st, you must re-link El Dorado Band & Colorguard to your card using your on-line account, as the rewards program resets all accounts at the beginning of their fiscal year.

What You Earn:

Ralphs will pay each organization on a quarterly basis based on the following monthly qualifying purchases per household:

Up to $200 of eligible purchases – 1%
Between $200.01 and $350 per month of eligible purchases – 2% over $200
Between $350.01 and $500 per month of eligible purchases – 3% over $350
Over $500 per month of eligible purchases – 4% over $500

The El Dorado Band Boosters are pleased to offer a great fundraising program to help students raise funds for their individual accounts. Profits from this program will first be used for any unpaid Marching Season Fair Share Donations for Band and Color Guard. Funds can then be used for Winterguard, Winter Drumline, Jazz Band, or next year’s Marching Season Fair Share Donations. Seniors who have paid all of their Fair Share Donations can use their profits for end of year extras, such as Banquet Tickets, Yearbooks and DVDs.

UnitedScrip is a program that allows band supporters to purchase gift cards from hundreds of retailers and restaurants including Amazon, Best Buy, iTunes, Arco, Albertsons, Macy’s, Wendy’s, Subway and more. Supporters get to spend 100% of the amount they paid for the gift card. The retailer pays the band a percentage of each gift card sold. The percentage varies from retailer to retailer, but ranges from 1% to 50%. Family and friends can help out by either ordering gift cards directly from you (they pay you, then you write one check for entire order), or they may set up accounts on-line, being sure to specify that they are a supporter of your student, and pay with their credit card.

How to Purchase

It is easy to sign up and all it takes is a little advance planning to order cards.

There are two ways to purchase the gift cards:

1) Sign-up and order on-line at

Register to create a profile
Enter the band’s group ID: 714296EDB (required for band to get credit)
Choose details for this order (Group: El Dorado Band Boosters, Team: El Dorado Band Boosters, Payment Method: Pay To Group Coordinator or Pay with Credit Card)
Shop! (Select either Scrip Suggest, Certificate List/Details, My Favorites List, or Shop our Gift Card Mall)
After you sign in, you can choose to “Pay the Group Coordinator” (Currently the default option) with our order. You will browse the offers on-line and make your choices. When you check-out, you would need to print out your order, attach a personal check payable to: EL DORADO BAND BOOSTERS to the order form and have the form and check deposited to the black box in the Band Room. The scrip coordinator automatically receives notification of your order, checks the black box, deposits checks, then confirms the order with UnitedScrip.

Another option when you order on-line is to “Pay with Credit Card”. When you select this option, you may choose to either have the order shipped with the group order (for $2 fee as outlined below), or pay a fee to have the order immediately shipped directly to you. There is a 3% service fee for credit card orders, so gift cards with rewards of 3% or less are not available with the “Pay with Credit Card” option.

2) Click on this ScripOrderForm and print it out. Fill out the form and mark which items you want, add up the orders and attach a personal check payable to: EL DORADO BAND BOOSTERS to the form and then place in the black box in the band room. This order form contains many of the more popular gift cards for our area, but there are many more listed at . You may wish to view the list of retailers on-line and write in additional gift cards on the blank lines at the bottom of the form. Be sure to specify the denomination and quantity desired.

Important Information

The Scrip Coordinator will pick-up the orders from the black box on the first and third Mondays of each month at 3 pm. She will then add all of the paper order form orders to the on-line orders and release the orders so UnitedScrip can process them. Once full payment is received by UnitedScrip, they will mail the cards directly to the Scrip Coordinator. Once received, she will either send the order home with your student, or email you that your order is ready for pick up, depending on the preference marked on your order.

Shipping Charges

Unless you pay by credit card and have the order shipped to your home, there is a $2 shipping charge for on-line or paper orders. This shipping charge will be deducted from your profit by the Scrip Coordinator.

Sell All Year

Remember, this is a continuous fundraiser. It’s a great way to contribute to your student’s individual account for their Fair Share Donation! Not only can you help out your student by purchasing gift cards for the shopping and dining your family normally does, but you can also make purchases for gifts for birthdays, holidays and other special occasions.
